Thota Koora or Siru keerai (as called in Tamil) is a popular dish in Andhra. It helps to cure various stomach problems and also helps in increasing memory power. We also give it for nursing moms. It is mainly consumed for health benefits. Apart from that, you know, it is really difficult to clean it. So, you need to clean this and keep it ready for the next day. It requires minimum half an hour. Don’t get scared, but it is a must try, simple recipe and don’t forget to leave your comments.
1. In a pan. heat oil, add hing (asafoetida), ural dal and red chilies and slighlty crused garlic pods. Saute it and add the chopped greens.
2. Add salt and required water. Close it with a lid. Stir in between.
3. Cook till the leaves are cooked thoroughly. This may take upto 10 mins.
Serve hot with south Indian meals
