Papaya Rose Smoothie

I hate to eat papaya. Though I don’t like to ignore the fruit for the health benefits that we get. So I have decided to include papaya in my diet. I tried this smoothie and it came out really well.

This smoothie is for people who hate papaya fruit just like me. Papaya, has the yucky odour which I hate the most. So, I wanted to consume it in some other form so I thought of a quick smoothie. I almost had 2 glasses of this smoothie.

I could somehow eat the fruit if it is really as sweet as a mango. But, mostly in summer, it is hard to get a sweet papaya. This is what I have observed. It is mostly ignored here in summer as we believe it to add to body heat.

Nevertheless, if you could eat the fruit as a whole, there is nothing like it. I always prefer whole fruit to a glass of juice. We need to load our body with unwanted sugar if we consume fruits in form of juice.

Try this super easy Papaya face pack

As much as I hate it, I am simply amazed by the health benefits the fruit offers. I use this face pack at times. Once, you cut the fruit, do not discard the white mushy pulp that is there on the inner most part of the fruit. Take it in a bowl, mix well with a spoon. Add a tsp of honey to give it volume. Apply it on your face and neck. Leave it for 10 min and wash it with cold water. This would immediately add a glow to the skin. This is an excellent face pack recipe that I learnt from my mother-in-law.

Papaya Rose Smoothie

Prep Time 5 mins

Key Ingredients

Papaya chunks 2 cups (1 cup = 200 ml)

Rose syrup 1 tbsp (Roohafsa Rose syrup)

Water 1/2 cup

Sugar (optional)

Crushed Ice cubes 4-5 nos.



  1. In a juicer, add the papaya chunks, rose syrup and water. Add sugar, if required. Since we are adding rose syrup, it will be sweet already.
  2. Blend it to a smooth paste.
  3. Add crushed ice a glass, pour the smoothie to the glass.

Cool papaya smoothie is ready to be served!
