Kathirikkai Podi/ Condiment for Brinjal

By Savitha,

Kathirikkai Podi is a flavorful condiment that we add for Brinjal to make it super-awesome. This condiment blends well with brinjal and gets a unique taste out of it. Kathirikkai podi added to brinjal is an excellent accompaniment for Sambar rice. It is prepared by Tam brahms (this is an Iyengar style recipe) usually during festivals or as a part of a feast. It is prepared with a combination of simple south Indian spices.
